Diversity and inclusion at UQ – staff survey

UQ is committed to creating an inclusive, supportive environment where all staff can flourish – because diversity benefits everyone.

To achieve this, UQ is running a survey to identify the challenges our staff face in their personal and professional lives. The results will provide us with anonymised data and honest feedback that will inform a whole-of-university plan to meaningfully improve diversity and inclusion.

The survey will also provide information that informs UQ’s accreditation application to the SAGE Pilot of Athena SWAN. Read more about the SAGE Pilot.

All eligible staff (continuing and fixed term) will receive an email from third-party organisation PeoplePulse with instructions about the survey and how to access it. As these emails contain personalised links, it’s important that staff only access the survey through the link in the email that is sent to them.

The survey takes approximately 20 minutes to complete, and questions cover a range of topics that affect all staff, such as work-life balance, diversity and inclusion, recruitment and promotion, and university values.

Participation is voluntary, but a large response rate will be vital to provide a meaningful glimpse of broad issues across the University.

The survey closes at 5pm, Monday 2 April 2018

Privacy and confidentiality

PeoplePulse, a third-party organisation, is conducting, collecting and storing all information gathered during the survey, so be assured that the survey is anonymous.

The results will be aggregated into a format that doesn’t allow the identification of any individual response, and no individual follow up will take place.
